The two most popular forms of Dry Ice come in the pellet and liquid forms. Pellets are small dagger-like pieces cut from solid blocks (in the machine at left) and are used in situations when a block of Dry Ice is too much, but some needs to be used.
Liquid CO2 is under pressure and transported in the special tanker trucks (seen at right). Liquid CO2 is used in many different situations. It is used to pressurize fire extinguishers and to make the carbonation in sodas.
